Richard Ruehle "Living Edge" Rustic Australian Jarrah Wood Platter
Seasoned jarrah wood is extremely dense and hard, making it a wood worker's challenge. This exceptionally interesting "living edge" platter exhibits jarrah's characteristic deep reddish-brown color, but with a lighter brown color on the extremities of the rim. Its rustic quality comes from the latticework of small gaps and cracks in the wood (characteristic of burl wood) some of which extend completely through the platter. The platter is signed and numbered (#3881) by the artist.
